Do you have ideas that you want the Alumni organization to work with? please post your ideas in the Yahoo Alumni Group -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Requesting nominations for the alumni association Dear exISMer, Following the recommendations of several workshops at the reunion in Moshi this summer a group has been set up to prepare a revitalized Alumni organization. Members so far are exISM students: Shafiq Kanji, Kate Robertson, Miriam Gathercole, Naushad Merchant, and Carsten Klouman. Representatives from ISM are Caroline Dean and Anne Wilshin. Eventually a new constitution and a list of proposed officers will be submitted to all exISMers in the alumni internet community for final decision (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ism-alumni). But before then we want to invite future officers of the organization to take part in the discussions in order to be a part of shaping the constitution and to enable a flying start after the launch. It's too early to say what the organization will look like, but hopefully we will have a lot of different activities that express the true will of the alumni, like alleviating alumni reconnection through reunions and/or support campaigns for ISM and the Scholarship Programme, organizing mentorships for new ISM alumni, or setting up general support networks for alumni (for example). As you can see, there is enough to do for anyone interested! So if you're interested, please notify us. Or send us nominations for people you think would be good to have in charge of the new alumni organization and it's various activities. We want the organization to be representative of all exISMers so there are no restrictions age, location or anything else.
