| 20 January 2007 Dear exISMer, Perhaps as you read this, a new year has begun but the weather outside your window is as dismal and grey as ever? Are you missing the bright sunshine, vibrant flowers and days lounging by the swimming pool from your time in Moshi? Would you like to see the white-capped peak of Kili again, which you used to admire while eating your cornflakes? Have you made all sorts of new year's resolutions to keep fit, make contact with old friends, relax and make more time for fun in 2007? Here at International School Moshi we invite you to give yourself a summer holiday to remember and fulfil all those resolutions at once by coming to the 2007 ISM Alumni Reunion. We are proud to host this event and look forward to welcoming as many of our 8500 alumni to our beautiful campus as possible! When is it? 1st - 6th August 2007. Come for the whole event or just for a day or two. Click here to see the Reunion Programme. Where is it? At ISM's Moshi Campus. You can stay in a tent on campus, in a dorm room (perhaps your old one!) or at a local, more luxurious, hotel. Who's invited? Anyone ever connected to International School Moshi - ex-students, teachers, parents, staff and other ISM friends. To see who's signed up so far, click here. How much will it cost? This really depends on how much of the reunion you want to attend, how quickly you book your flights and the level of luxury you require. You can stay on the ISM Campus from US$26 per night or there are more deluxe accommodation options within walking distance from the school. Flights from Europe can be cheap (as quoted on www.condor.com to Kilimanjaro International Airport, if you are lucky and book quickly. (Also try Ethiopian Airlines, Emirates, KLM, or email ISM Alumnus Shafiq Kanji , for special deals. Why should I come? To meet old friends and make new ones. To see how your old school has changed and to learn about current initiatives. To catch up with former teachers. To relax and enjoy Tanzanian sunshine and safe, friendly hospitality. To climb Mount Kilimanjaro or Mount Meru. To visit some of Africa's most famous national parks (including the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater). To raise money for the ISM Scholarship Fund. To see the Big Five. To revisit old haunts. To snorkel in the Indian Ocean. To see how Moshi has changed. To read your book on a deserted beach. To reconnect with your past. To come back to Tanzania - because you've always wanted to and what better opportunity is there than this to fulfil that ambition? .... Click here to read ten more Reasons. What should I do now? Sign up for the reunion NOW at http://www.ism-reunion.or.tz/. Then send this email to all your old ISM friends and contacts to tell them that you're coming and you hope they can make it too. Then book your flight as soon as you can. Living in Africa? Please don't delay but sign up today if you plan to come. That way, old friends from further afield will see you are going to be there, and, who knows, may jump on a plane just to see you! If you're still undecided and have any further questions about the 2007 ISM Alumni Reunion, please email Carsten Klouman (the Reunion Coordinator) for more information. In the meantime, we look forward to welcoming you to Moshi again this Summer! Best wishes, and see you in August, Keiron White Head of Moshi Campus |
